CAIR-Chicago Meets with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky

CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab, Civil Rights Coordinator Christina Abraham, and Governmental Relations Coordinator Sadiya Ahmed had a meeting on Thursday, August 10, 2006 with Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky at her Evanston office. The meeting was called to discuss the crisis in the Middle East and the American Muslim concerns about the conflict. In addition, the meeting highlighted the class action lawsuit filed against DHS filed by CAIR-Chicago earlier this year on behalf of individuals who have faced prolonged delays in getting citizenship and ways for Congresswoman Schakowsky and CAIR-Chicago to work together.
